Management of Waiting Lists

Parents can apply for their child to join at any time; they will be placed on the Waiting List or the Expression of Interest List and places will be offered in accordance with the following protocol:

• Children will join the Waiting List if they are already old enough to join. (5¾ for Beavers, 7¾ for Cubs, 9¾ for Scouts).
• Children who are not old enough to start will join the Expression of Interest List.
• Children on the Expression of Interest List will move onto the Waiting List when they become old enough to join less one month for every year or part year that they have been on the Expression of Interest List.
• Children will be offered a place in the order in which they join the Waiting List.

Behavioural Policy

For the good of all, it is important that Scouts, Cubs and Beavers behave in a “Considerate Manner”. We describe Considerate Manner as:
• Respecting others.
• Following instructions given by Leaders.
• Listening while others are speaking.
• Not verbally abusing others including name calling or using discriminatory language.
• Not being disruptive or preventing others enjoying the activities.
• Not fighting or physically hurting anyone else on purpose.
